Mozzarella Cheese :-

Hi friends, as you all know there are a variety of cheese available in market. out of these most famous & delicious cheese among them is Mozzarella Cheese. It is used in making Pizza, Burger etc. whose recipes you can check on our blog. So just note down the recipe of Mozzarella Cheese & try it yourself.

Ingredients :-
  • Milk- 1 litre.
  • Citric Acid- 1/2 teaspoon.
  • Rennet seeds  - 1/4 teaspoon. (you can also use lemon juice)
  • Salt - As required.
Method :-

1.) Take milk in a pan & heat it to 30 -35°C.

2.) Now dissolve the citric acid in water & add it to milk.

3.) Now add the rennet seeds or lemon juice to the milk & add salt & then cover with a lid.

4.) Now leave it on slow flame for 15-20 mts..

5.) Now you will see the curd forming upwards & whey below the curd.

6.) Now with the help of a knife, cut the curd into small squares.

7.) Now take out the curd leaving the extra water in the pan.

8.) Now drain the extra water from the curd by squeezing it.

9.) Now microwave it on 180°C for about 10 mts.

10.) Now, take it out & stretch it, as much as you can & then again form a ball of it.

11.) Continue the stretching process as much as you want (min. 5 times will be enough).

  2. Yes.. lemon juice contains citric acid.. but to use lemon juice as a substitute of citric acid, the quantity should be increased, say 2 tablespoon of citric acid requires around 4 to 5 tablespoon lemon juice...

  4. Kind of hard to make it at home. I was looking for the correct Mozzarella specifications and found this, I don't know if it is any good though.
