Papdi Chaat :-

Indian people love to eat the tasty snacks in the evening like Pani Puri, Dahi Puri etc. One of the most famous Indian snack is Papdi Chaat. Everybody just wait for the Chaat wala to come buy some Papdi Chaat. But now i am providing you the recipe of Papdi Chaat so that you don't
have to wait & you can also make ot at home. So just follow the instructions carefully & make the tasty snack at home.

Ingredients :-

For Papdi :-
  • 1 cup maida/all-purpose flour.
  • 1/2 tsp kalonji/onion seeds.
  • 1 tbsp oil or ghee.
  • salt to taste.
  • water for kneading.
  • oil for deep frying.

For Topping :-
  • Boiled potatoes - 2.
  • Boiled chickpeas - 2 tablespoon.
  • Green chutney - as required.
  • Tamarind Chutney - as required.
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon.
  • Yogurt - as required.
  • Salt - as required.
  • Sugar - 1 tablespoon.
  • Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon.
  • Sev - as required.
  • Chopped Onion - as required.
  • Chopped Coriander - as required.

Method :-

To Make Papdi :-

1 Take a bowl and add the maida, oil, kalonji and salt and combine.

2.) Slowly add water and make a smooth dough.

3.) Leave it covered with damp cloth for 15 mts.

4.) Knead the dough again for a minute.

5.) Take some dough and make very small balls.

6.) Roll out small thin chapatis.

7.) Make deep pores in the chapati using a fork or knife.

8.) Heat enough oil for deep frying in a heavy bottomed vessel.

9.) It should be on medium flame and once its hot, slide the chapatis into the hot oil and allow to cook.

10.) Fry from both the sides till light golden brown.

11.) Don’t fry too much as it will turns too dark.

12.) Remove on to tissue paper.

To Make Papdi Chaat :-

1.) Arrange some Papdis in a plate.

2.) Take boiled potatoes in a bowl & add salt, sugar, chaat masala & chickpeas to make a topping.

3.) Now put the topping on the papdis.

4.) Now top with green chutney & tamarind chutney.

5.) Take yogurt & add sugar & whisk it until smooth.

6.) Now pour yogurt on the papdis.

7.) Add cumin powder, Onion, Coriander & sev at last to finish the papdi chaat.

So you tasty & yummy homemade Papdi Chaat is ready to serve. Serve immediately. You can store papdis in an air tight container for about 15 days & use whenever required.
